What to include in your nameplate enquiry
Send the details you already have so we can review your requirements.
- Drawing or artwork, with the required plate dimensions and quantity.
- Text, logo and any serial numbers, barcodes or QR codes to appear on the plate.
- Preferred material and finish, if specified in your project.
- How the plate will be attached and the surface it will be mounted on.
- Intended use and any environmental or marking requirements to review.
Separate the plate drawing from the marking data
Provide the plate outline, dimensions, hole positions or mounting requirements, logo artwork and finish reference. List any serial numbers, barcodes or QR codes separately, with an example showing how each plate should be marked. For common formats, see our Serial number and barcode labels.
Describe the operating conditions
State where the plate will be fitted and whether it faces sunlight, moisture, cleaning chemicals, heat or abrasion. Describe the required checks explicitly rather than assuming a material name proves a particular rating or certification.
Approve a representative sample
Check size, colour, marking and mounting against the drawing. For variable information, check the data format and a representative marked sample before approving the batch.
