Metal Business Cards: Materials, Processes and Finishes
A metal card is kept long after a paper card is thrown away. We make metal business cards in our own Shenzhen factory, from 100 pcs per design. This guide walks through the choices: material, how the design is marked, finish and what to send.
1. Choose the material

2. Choose how the design is marked
| Process | What it does |
|---|---|
| Chemical etching | Fine text and logos etched into the surface |
| Laser cut-out | Shapes cut right through the card |
| Engraving | Text and logos engraved into the metal |
| Screen printing | Solid color areas printed on the card |
Several processes can be combined on one card, for example an etched logo with a cut-out.
3. Choose the finish
Brushed, mirror polished, black, gold plated or painted edge. Thickness is typically 0.5 mm, custom on request. Cards are standard business-card size.
4. Names and details on each card
Each card in an order can carry its own name, title or code. Send the data as an Excel or CSV list with one row per card.
