Valve tags
A valve tag has one job — tell whoever is standing at the valve which valve it is, years after the person who installed it has moved on. That means the number has to still be readable after steam, washdown, sunlight and paint overspray.
Brass valve tags are the traditional choice and still the most requested: stamped or engraved, the mark stays legible as the surface patinas. Stainless steel valve tags suit washdown and chemical areas. Anodized aluminum valve tags are the lightest and take colour coding well.
We supply them numbered — sequential runs, or matched piece by piece to the valve schedule you send us. Pair them with durable equipment nameplates and serial number labels when the same plant needs asset IDs as well as valve numbers.
Metal pipe identification tags
Where a wrap-around marker will not survive — outdoors, in high heat, in a washdown area, or on insulated lines that get re-lagged — a metal pipe tag hung on a chain or strapped to the pipe lasts longer. We produce these with the service name, the direction of flow, the line number, or all three.
If your site follows a colour scheme, tell us which one and we will produce to the colours and text you specify. We produce to your spec; we do not certify compliance with any standard. Related plant ID products include safety and inspection tags.

Materials — which one for which environment
We make valve tags in brass, anodized aluminum and stainless steel. Tell us where the tag will be fitted and whether it faces sunlight, moisture, cleaning chemicals, heat or abrasion, and we review the material and marking for that environment.
Temperature and chemical exposure requirements reviewed for the project. Service life is confirmed for the intended environment.
