Custom Metal Asset Tags for Equipment & Fleet Tracking
Identify tools, fixtures, machinery and capital equipment with metal asset tags made to your artwork and data. Choose the material, marking method and mounting style that fit the asset and its working environment.
Materials and specifications
We make asset tags in anodized aluminium, stainless steel and brass, with custom dimensions and thicknesses to suit the available mounting area. Markings can include sequential numbers, unique asset IDs, 1D barcodes, QR codes, Data Matrix codes and logos.
Choose adhesive backing for a clean installation, or specify rivet holes, screw holes, a chain hole or another attachment detail. We confirm the size, material, finish, marking method and data format in a proof before production.
Variable data and identification
Each tag can carry its own number or code from your asset list. Send an Excel file or CSV and we will match the variable data to the artwork, keeping the human-readable identifier alongside the barcode or QR code for quick checks in the field.
This makes the tags practical for equipment registers, tool control, fleet identification and maintenance records. For more detail on variable data production, see our serial number labels and metal barcode tags.
Permanent mounting — tags that do not come off
Some asset tags are meant to be removable. Most are not. Where a tag has to stay with the asset for its whole service life — through cleaning, through resale, through someone deciding they would rather it went on a different machine — the answer is mechanical, not adhesive.
We supply metal asset tags with rivet holes, screw holes, or both, in the positions you specify. Fitted properly, the tag cannot be lifted off in one piece; removing it means destroying it or drilling it out, and either way the asset is left visibly missing its tag.
For fleets that live outdoors or get washed down daily, this combination — anodized aluminium or stainless steel, mechanically fixed — keeps an asset register readable for the service life of the asset, with material and finish selected for the intended environment.
A note on what we do not make: we do not supply destructible or tamper-evident face stock — the kind of label that shatters into fragments when someone tries to peel it. If that is what your specification calls for, you need a different supplier. What we make is the permanent metal version.
Frequently asked questions
We can mark your asset number, serial number, barcode, QR code, logo, model information or any combination supplied in your artwork or data file.
Yes. Hole size, quantity and position are set to your mounting method and approved in the proof before production.
Anodized aluminium is a common choice for lightweight outdoor identification. Stainless steel is suitable when the tag needs additional mechanical strength or a different finish.
Yes. Send your data as an Excel file or CSV and we can mark each tag with its own serial number, barcode or QR code.
